Renovations, Updates, and Rambling
Big Links GA Faq Site Map Message Board GA-ML Main page	May 19, 2000 Wow... it's open! Are the changes mostly cosmetic? Well... in part. Many new pages have been added, some have been rewritten, though not all by any means... And there is, as always, more coming as we have the time to write all of this stuff. In many cases, our new pages can be expanded upon as we find other views, and in some cases, more complete translations. Time to go ambush more students... (just kidding!) Things we want you to read before exploring: Mainly, there are just a few announcements - info about broken links/blank pages, the character profiles, our new policies, and a couple of new surveys that we want you to consider. So, anyway... Broken links/blank pages: In order to get this page up before June, I had to post the renovation before I finished a few of the pages I wanted to have up. Those are, for your general information: The Calendar Timeline, Project Noah, the Minor-Character spoilers, the Fanzine section (mostly, anyway), and the shrines for Billy, Miang, Emeralda, and Grahf. These will be finished as soon as possible, but we didn't want to delay any longer, and I know that you wanted the site to be up again... as soon as finals are over, I'll start work on these immediately. The character profiles: These are next in line to be overhauled, but I'll try to leave them up while I do my work. The pictures, however, will be down until this part of the renovation is complete. Why? Because I'm trying to do better editing jobs this time, perhaps make them a little clearer if possible... just for an overall better look. If Photoshop co-operates. ^_~ Our new policies: It's no secret taht I've been rather irritable lately... I do apologize for that. It's mainly due to stuff I've been getting in the mail (and not, actually, just the millions of letters asking when this renovation would be finished). I also apologize, again in advance, if certain parts of the faq sound a bit snappish... I'll fix that once I'm feeling a little mroe cheerful. So in short, please don't take my (Amber) rigid, uptight policies personally just yet. ^_~ New surveys: This is something I have to leave up to others - namely, those of you who visit this site! Right now I have no way of tallying points for these surveys aside from whoever votes on the mail list survey, so if you want to put in your vote, please feel free to join the list. I need all of the feedback I can get. <> The first survey is this... For awhile now, people have suggested that I draw portraits for the character profiles, and simply keep the official pics on as extras... perhaps in the places the gear pics are now. My question is, do you all think this would be a good idea, or a bad one? It's a yes/no thing, so if you feel so inclined, please give us your opinion! <> The second... Should we reopen the diary contest? If we actually had more than two entrants, it might be in the best interests of you as readers... Unfortunately, Calis, Rune, and Azusa are only going to be maintaining one diary each, and... that leaves nine for me. Believe me, I've tried, but... that just doesn't work. It burned me out. So... this is again a yes/no thing, and I would most DEFINITELY appreciate your feedback! I am only going to work on the Krelian, Shitan, and Miang diaries, until they are finished. So this means, if no one else writes the others, they'll have to wait until I'm done with these three, and who knows when that will be. ^^ So, that's about it for our renovation-related announcements. Although I haven't put anything but the renovation up today, I will update again as soon as possible with all of the fiction, artwork, and letters/essays that we've received since March. My sincere apologies, to all of you who submitted and have been waiting so long... I will get your submissions up as soon as I can. You're next up!	Misc. Stuff Surveys!
