ISBN: 1-56686-825-4 Publisher: Brady Publishing Price: $14.99 This is the one published by Brady Games after the release of Xenogears in the US. It provides a decent walkthrough (and there are some amusing typos, too), and character portraits that were rare until the Perfect Works made its debut in the stores over here, but it's almost impossible to find a new copy these days. You can try asking Brady, but since there are a ton of good walkthroughs and scans online, it might not be worth the trouble. |

ISBN: 4-89601-398-0 Publisher: Movic Price: $15.99 If you're lucky enough to find a copy of the Anthology, I think it's worth buying even if you can't read Japanese. The stories are easy to follow, and most of them are ridiculous anyway. This volume includes the famed Liquid Sky, for Clio Saga fans, and almost every character makes an appearance in at least one story - save Krelian. (Sigh.) Although this is worth owning, I recommend avoiding anyone who tries to sell it to you for more than thirty dollars. It's nice to have, but it's not worth a fortune. There are color illustrations at the front of the book, and the comics are in black and white. The dust jacket also has a few nice illustrations. The cards (which you can see if you click on Elly over there I'm missing #4) are sturdy and laminated, but they only feature the regular character profile images and an abridged version of the poem on the back of the pencil board. (Seen here.) This is wonderful for a collector like me, but not all that great for someone paying through the nose just to get Xeno merchandise. ^^ |

The script is accompanied by small screenshots (in color), but there are no illustrations or large images in this book. If you aren't fluent in Japanese or fanatic about collecting Xenogears books, I recommend skipping this one. Ironically, this is one of the few items still in print. Go for it. |

Publisher: Movic Price: $7.95 I bought two pages of these so I could use them, and.. they're nice stickers, but definitely not meant to decorate book spines or anything that sees a lot of action - the adhesive isn't strong enough for that. I think they look prettier on their little page than they do on my stuff. |

ISBN: 4-925075-32-2 Publisher: Digicube Price: $45.00 This is the most popular and oft-cited book in the Xenogears fandom, and for good reason. It's in full color, with illustrations and character designs for almost every character, sketches of cities, townspeople, and national emblems, and an illustrated bestiary. The rest of the book - the bigger chunk of it - is devoted to in-depth information about the game's history, characters, science, world, and story progression. Clio Saga's story Dark Summer is featured in the Drama chapter and there's a comic about the Element girls at the end of the book. If you buy any Xenogears book, I recommend buying this one. It has something for everyone, even if you can't read Japanese. You shouldn't have to pay more than $50 for it, though - it's common enough now that even Amazon sometimes carries it, and with Xenosaga whipping up the fans, I don't think it'll disappear for a while. |

It's a large version of the cover of the Perfect Works, minus text, and it makes a nice decoration for blank, depressing walls. (Every time I see someone selling this at a convention they cover Elly with Post-Its. It's hilarious.) People who are intimidated by nudity will be offended by this, so it's a great thing to display where everyone can see it. Dimensions: 20x36 inches. |

(I'll jump for joy later.) With that in mind, you shouldn't have to pay more than $25 for it, and used versions of the original shouldn't go for very much either. The Millenium Editions are probably out of print, but if not, well... I should grab one. ^.^ It's worth collecting, though it can only be played on Japanese systems. Yes, that is a scan of the Japanese version. I'm lazy. |

As far as I know this was a limited release, so they probably don't have any copies on hand. |

Other than that, it's a nice gift item. |

All of the vocals are in Japanese with the possible exception of Creid, though it may just be the lyrics that are in... well, it says "Irish" in the booklet, so I'll just go with that. I recommend this CD. |

If you liked the music while playing Xenogears, this is a natural purchase to make, and I definitely recommend it. Track two on disc one, "Stars of Tears," is the infamous outtake, and a nice song in its own right, though I hated it for a long time. ^.^ There are tracklists available everywhere, so you'll have to live without seeing one here. |
