Lost Little Boy

By Calis Cheah (sigrd@hotmail.com)

Lost little boy,

One confused, lonely soul,

So many decisions without options.

Swept away by Destiny's flow

Towards a fate which you cannot run.

If only you could find an end,

Kneeling blind before the barrel of a gun.

Lost little boy,

How you hide your tear streaked face

Beneath hands stained bloody crimson red,

An abandoned angel fallen from grace.

Innocent yet guilty of an unknown crime

You are the sacrificial lamb

Lain to slaughter before the altar of time

Lost little boy,

Shattered into a thousand shards of glass,

Your dreams once so bright and pure

Reduced to beliefs tainted crass.

Live your life girdled by violence

Forget the promises made to be broken

As you seek solitude in the echoing silence

Lost little boy,

Like a feeble bird with broken wings,

Chained down to the earth.

There is no hope in what tomorrow brings

Your whole existence could disappear.

There would be no traces,

No reminder that you ever belonged here.

Lost little boy,

Made into the image of Cain,

Created to be a surrogate.

He gave you nothing but pain,

Spoke the words that haunt your brain.

Worthless refuse, piece of trash

Thrown away to rot in the rain.

Lost little boy,

What do you see in these indigo eyes?

A vow of eternity spent by your side

Or a single truth clouded by a million lies?

Against my breast, your head has lain.

Don't fight me because it's all in vain.

Come into these arms

And I'll make you whole again.

Author's Note:

This poem was the result of the strong after-effects of an intense RP session held at The Yggdrasil Periscope on 20th November '99. I would like to dedicate this piece to everyone who's been waiting so patiently for something from me for so long. Especially for Myaru who has worked so hard on Guardian Angels and Azusa Kuraino without which I would never have gained such a deep understanding of Ramsus' character. This one's for you too, Azusa!!
