Gaspar

Age: ~560 Gender: male Birthplace: Shevat Occupation: Royal Advisor Gaspar has served as an "advisor" in Shevat for more than five hundred years. He pre-dated Queen Zephyr, and was in fact one of her supporters when the rulership of Shevat was in question. He has continued in her service since then, and is one of the people Krelian singled out to punish by granting him (supposed) eternal life. After Sophia's death, he is the only sage that remained in Shevat with his queen, though his reasons for this are unknown. He is Yui Uzuki's grandfather, and speculated to be one of Shevat's current Defenders, along with his role of "sage".

Taura Melchoir

Age: ~560 Gender: male Birthplace: Shevat Occupation: Scientist, sage Like Gaspar, Melchoir is one of the lucky few Krelian 'punished' with eternal life. He was an advisor and sage to Shevat before Queen Zephyr's time, and he stood behind her in her bid for the throne five hundred years ago. During the Solaris War he worked with Krelian to bring nanotechnology back into the world, but after Sophia's death and Krelian's desertion, he went into hiding and continued his research alone. Melchoir has no known family and only minimal contact with Shevat; he prefers to conduct his research in remote areas, and in the game he can be found deep in the forests of the Elru continent.

Isaac Balthasar

Age: ~560 Gender: male Birthplace: Shevat Occupation: Gear designer/mechanic, sage Like his fellow sages, Balthasar has been an advisor to Shevat for more than five centuries, before the time of Queen Zephyr. He supported her when she became queen and stuck with her through the Solaris War. He is Shevat's premier gear designer, and one of the people Krelian punished with "eternal life". In the more recent past he was graced with a son and later a granddaughter, but after his son was kidnapped by Solaris, Balthasar left Maria in Shevat's care and holed himself up in the sand caverns of Aveh, where he researches the origins of human civilization.

Nikolai Balthasar

Gender: male Birthplace: Shevat Occupation: Scientist Nikolai is the son of Isaac Balthasar, and one of Shevat's most promising scientists. His research leans heavily into biomechanics, and his pet project is an attempt to fuse gears and living human cells. He married a woman named Claudia and moved with her and their daughter Maria to the Terrane Area (northwest corner of the world map), where I suppose he continued with his research. During his residence on the surface Solaris kidnapped him and killed his wife - Maria was spared for use in his research, which they wished him to perfect for their own purposes. He cooperated with them to save her life, and as soon as he managed to create a working prototype gear, he smuggled it out of the country with Maria inside. He didn't manage to save himself though, and he continues to work under Krelian's watchful eye.
