Gaspar

Age: ~560 Gender: male Birthplace: Shevat Occupation: Royal Advisor One of the three sages, and the only warrior of the group. He led his own troops to battle during the Solaris War five hundred years before the game, fighting on the front line. He left after enthroning Zephyr and helping her rebuild the city after the Diabolos attack, and went to live in secret on the surface, though he checks in occasionally to help her. Presumably he was also a recipient of Krelian's life-extension treatments. At age 560 he had a son, who later had Yui. Gaspar led Shevat's guerilla resistance (of which Jesiah was a part, though it isn't clear whether they met or not) during the Third Invasion, and clashed with Hyuga. When the Solarian forces withdrew, Hyuga continued to visit to see Yui, whom he eventually married, and to learn Gaspar's fighting technique.

Taura Melchoir

Age: ~560 Gender: male Birthplace: Shevat Occupation: Scientist, sage One of Shevat's sages and the scholar who revived nanotechnology during the Solaris War. He discovered a copy of Kim's thesis in the Zeboim ruins and reconstructed the technology outlined in the paper. He shared this knowledge with Krelian, who became his student, though he later came to regret this. He supported Zephyr's bid for the throne and abandoned Shevat once she was established and the Diabolos Invasion was defeated. At the beginning of the game, he studies humanity from a lab hidden on a forested island, hoping to find the secret hidden in humanity.

Isaac Balthasar

Age: ~560 Gender: male Birthplace: Shevat Occupation: Gear designer/mechanic, sage One of Shevat's three sages and a genius gear mechanic who constructed and repaired gears for the Alliance ground forces during the Solaris War five hundred years ago. He renounced Shevat with the others after they crowned Zephyr queen, and lives on the surface in secret, excavating ruins and layers of rock for fossils. He eventually moved to an area near Aveh and built the gear Calamity. During his sojourn on the surface he had a son, Nikolai, who later married and had Maria. When she escaped from Solaris with Seibzehn Balthazar took her in and became her guardian, and she lived with him for two years before he introduced her to Queen Zephyr and established her as one of Shevat's defenders. Nikolai Balthasar

Gender: male Birthplace: Shevat Occupation: Scientist Maria's father and son to Isaac Balthazar, one of the sages of Shevat. Nikolai was an expert engineer and a pioneer of human-machine fusion, and his work drew Solaris's attention. He was kidnapped and set to work on merging the human brain to gears for the M Project, which he resisted until his wife and daughter were taken hostage. He built Seibzehn and Achtzehn, and conspired with his wife to secure Maria's escape by fusing her brain to Seibzehn's system. After his wife's death and Maria's escape, he fused himself with Achtzehn.
